Workshop What are my basic rights? on 19.11.22
On 19 november our last workshop of this year took place.
The title of the workshop was "Whats are my basic rights?"
Buba, Saikou and Tida did the workshop.
It was about questions like.
- What are my basic rights as a refugee?
- What rights do I have in my work?
- What rights do I have in my education?
After the workshop we ate "Rollo" together.
Workshop How to live self-determined? on 20.08.2022
On August 20, we did a workshop on how to live self-determined.
Buba Ceesay from our team was the moderator of the workshop.
Saikou Jallow, Tida Bah and Hannah Dehning helped with the organization.
We discussed and collected ideas together:
- What does it take to live a self-determined life?
- How does one become independent?
- What are the obstacles and dependencies?
In between there was a break with delicious snacks and drinks.
Day Trip to Hamburg 04.06.2022
On 04.06. we made a trip to Hamburg together with the "Buddies of Bremen".
On a boat-trip we learned more about the history and buildings of Hamburg, the river Elbe and the harbor with the container ships.
The highlight for us was the Gambian percussion group at the train station, which made us dance!
Visit to the Weser Stadium on 26.02.2022
On February 26 we met with the mentee program Youth with Difference to visit the Weser Stadion.
It was special that in front of the stadium many Werder Bremen fans were waiting for the Bremen players to see them leaving for the game against Hamburg.
In the stadium we were shown a lot: The players' bench, the VIP lounge, the press room, the locker rooms and much more.
City Tour through Bremen on 19.11.2021
On November 19, 2021, we took a guided tour of the city of Bremen.
Mentees from Fluchtraum Bremen e.V. participated.
The activity was co-organized by Buba and Saikou.
Buba and Saikou participate in Youth with Differnce.
They are both mentees.
Bouba and Saikou translated in Fullah and Mandinka during the city tour.
The city guide showed us known and unknown places in Bremen.
She told many interesting stories.
We also tried a Bremen specialty: Schnoorkuller.
This is a sweet with chocolate and nuts.
Empowerment Workshop: Zusammenleben Made in Germany on 28.08.2021
On August 28, 2021, we did an empowerment workshop.
We talked with the trainer Modou Diedhiou about different topics.
Topics were for example identity, life in Germany and our own goals.
We also talked about our self-awareness.
During the lunch break we ate pizza together and got to know each other.
We did the workshop in the youth center Buchte.
In the Buchte there is also the Beratungscafé (counseling café) of Fluchtraum Bremen e.V. on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Many young people already know this place.
Saikou and Buba from the Youth with Difference team organized the workshop together with Hannah from Fluchtraum Bremen e.V.
The mentee program is supported in 2022 by the Stadtteilfonds der Senatorin für Soziales, Jugend, Integration und Sport (project "Mentees for Mentees").
